The Move w/ Parents In Tow

Okay so this is my first blog, so bare with me. I thought it only appropriate to begin this blog with the big move since that is why my dear friend Paige suggested I start a blog in the first place. Thanks to her (she set everything up for me), I am able to share all that is happening here on the other-side of the world, with all of my family and friends in one spot. Thanks Paige.

So here we go. On July 31st, we began our 31 hour journey to our new home in West Viginia. Yes, I said 31 hours and that was just the time we spent in the car. Anyway, after getting a later start than we had hoped, we were making our way through Dallas when I got pulled over for not having a front license's plate on my car. Now, I have had this car for 2 years and had yet to be stopped for this infraction. Well, the officer asked if I had my current insurance information, which of course I did not as it was in the rental truck. I asked him if I could look in the trunk to try to find it and he asked me if I really thought it was there or if I was just trying to waste time. He had the audacity to ask me this after I had already explained to him that I was on my way to West Virginia. To which I replied, "Waste time? I am trying to get 1200+ miles down the road." He kind of grinned and walked away, only to return with a ticket for failure to show current insurance. He didn't even care about the lincense's plate. Needless, to say I almost had a nerveous breakdown while he was writing the ticket as I did want to move anyway and now this was happening. I am so grateful that my mom was there to calm me down. I love it that the Lord knows exactly what we need.
Anyway, we got to Tunica, Mississippi a little after midnight. We stayed at the Sam's Town Cassino, so we grabbed some late dinner and I let the kids run loose. We finally got to bed about 2:00am and we up at em' around 9:00am. Everyone went swimming save me as I stole an opportunity to have a little alone time. Then, dad treated us all to the wonderful buffet. I have never seen so many choices and different types of food available in one place- ummm! After rolling our full stomachs out to the car we headed to Knoxville, TN. We took our time so we didn't reach the hotel until 11:00pm or so. We all just got ready and headed to bed. This only takes about 2 hours when you have 6 people!- tehehe.
The following morning we made our way to Lewisburg. Thankfully, we were only about 4 hours away. So the journey was a success, but our work has just begun. I am so glad that mom and dad are staying for over 2 weeks- tehehe!
