The day dawned with rain threatening to keep us all drenched. However, by the time the ceremony began the rain had stopped leaving the air hot and steamy. I toted the kids and about half the house up the bleachers to get settled in for a fun morning. At 10:00 a speaker got up and introduced the class of 2012 as they all filed in and up the bleachers to stay dry in case of rain. Next, the President of the school was recognized for 20 years of service the last 10 of which school has been ranked in the Top 10 Medical Schools in the Nation for Urban Family Medicine. Needless to say, his retirement at the end of this year will lend difficult shoes to fill.
Next came the guest speaker. A former student, who evidently had an agenda because his soapbox went on for over 20 minutes leaving his audience bored to tears. Finally, it was time to present the students with their coats. Each student was called up on stage and given a coat by a mentor (if you had one present) or a faculty member. It was a proud moment for each student. But at 45 seconds each and 200+ students- well you can see where I am going with this. As Jason got off of the stage Faith joined him and spent the remainder of the ceremony with her daddy.
Afterwards, we joined Jason's friend Brandon and his parents and wife for lunch at The General Lewis Inn in downtown Lewisburg. What a fun day. I am so proud of Jason.
I hope you will pray for him. He is usually up at the school until at least 1:30am and up often by 5:30am to study. The amount of work they pile on him is inconceivable to me. He has a huge test on Monday that is over 4 subjects at once and a lab practical. Then on the 26th he has another huge anatomy test. We are so thankful for how the Lord is sustaining him and giving him the energy and mental fortitude that he needs.

I am proud of Jason too! I will certainly be praying for him and all of you! Love reading your posts and keeping up with you guys! I never did hear back from you on your question. I asked you a question too!
